| Well, vacation is over and life goes on. We arrived home on Friday, after a very interesting experience driving in blizzard-like conditions in Ohio. Thanks to Tim & Bonnie (Ben's parents) for letting us crash at their place!!! Drew, Catey & Aiden brought Latte back home to us Friday evening and stayed through Saturday night. The girls go back to school Sunday and work begins on Monday God is good!

| We are thoroughly enjoying our time with Shawn, Erin, Lucas and Liam. Heather is only marginally feeling the effects of the cat, and since the weather is in the upper 60's - low 70's, she is able to go outside for some great Virginia fresh air! Today we made the 1 1/2 hr. trip up to Aunt Lorraine's and had a great time visiting with her and Uncle Reed, Gene, Haven and Travis. And we even got to go 4-wheelin!! Why do vacations have to go so quickly!

| Ok, we are horrifically late ... is anybody still out there checking? We had a great Christmas with all the family. Here are a few pictures to share:

| Well, it was a whirwind trip to California - we left Wednesday morning and got back home Saturday afternoon. But it was fun! We were able to get an earlier flight to San Jose, which we were grateful for, and Phil met us at the airport with his new car (see pic below). We were able to spend Wednesday with him, watch him graduate from language school Thursday morning (pics below), spend all day Thursday and Friday with him (we saw Monterey Bay, went to the aquarium, ate at Bubba Gumps, and visited the Redwoods - picx below), and then the three of us went back to San Jose where we flew back here to Indiana on Saturday. We were able to spend Saturday night thru Monday morning with Drew, Catey & Aiden (you got it, pics below). We got to see Elisabeth and Bekah and our future son-in-law Ben (yup, in case you didn't know, they're officially engaged)! Now the three of us (Heather, Steve, Phil) are back home. Heather has to go back to work tomorrow, but Steve is still on "vacation time" all this week (although he does have some work he must get done) so as to spend time with Phil ... who flys back to Monterey on Sunday. Even though he has graduated, and knows where his next assignment is going to be, he cannot actually physically move to his next post until all of his clearance comes thru. As a result, he is in a holding pattern at Monterey. As promised above, here are some pictures you might enjoy.

| Happy Labor Day everyone! We have been truly blessed, both with blessings and trials. It's exciting to know that God is in complete control no matter what happens or is happening in our lives. The girls are back to school, and we are now empty-nesters yet again. This year Elisabeth is living off campus and has an off-campus job, so we felt led to let the girls take our Corolla. We figured we could get by on just one car, but that didn't last long as Steve got tired very quickly running Heather to work & picking her up. So, after much prayer and debate, we now have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma. Very basic, no "power" stuff (e.g., windows & locks). It does have a tilt wheel, cd player and air conditioning (whoot!). We are absolutely loving our grandson and wish we had more opportunities to see him. We will be traveling out to California in 2 weeks to see Phil and then help him move to his next assignment. We plan on stopping to see Heather's cousin Sven & Angie. Heather will stay there an extra day, then fly home from Phoenix while the boys continue their trip across country. Things are very, very hectic at work for Heather and she can definitely use your prayers. Steve is staying very busy with the web business and we thank God so much for keeping the clients coming. He is also now the "Director of Technology and Online Ministries" at the church which takes up one day a week - he even has his own "office" that they've given him. And he has been asked to take over the Drama ministry too - so much for "free time". Heather is now doing something she has felt burdened about for some time now - she's working on a weekly basis with the teens of our church. Every Wednesday night she is co-leader of a Care Group (a small break-out group of about 8 girls) and then attends the youth meeting Sunday nights. She is super excited about this opportunity and would definitely appreciate your prayers for her as she seeks to minister to these gals. Guess that's about it for our update for now. Write more in ... oh, about another month or so ... LOL. Here are a couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure.
